Summer is around the corner, and half the population has a one thought on their mind.
How to lose fat fast.
One thing people need to realize with fat loss is not that it is necessarily difficult, but extensively time consuming. The truth is, you can begin a poor quality diet and exercise regimen, and still be able to lose a significant amount of fat by staying consistent with the lifestyle change for a long period of time.
However, if you think you’re going to turn that back-pack into a six-pack in just a month’s time frame, it’s time for a reality check.
First, let’s talk weight loss versus fat loss.
They are two very different things.
Weight loss basically entails losing three things: Water, Fat, and Muscle. Forget about losing water, it’s just a fluctuation of liquids within your body. Muscle loss, especially as Male, is something every man should strive to prevent. If your thoughts are on how to lose fat fast, then your concern is about looking attractive. Though some women’s preferences may vary, most women prefer men having muscular features as part of the physical features they find attractive. Nothing insane like at a bodybuilders level, but more so of the appearance of an athlete. Bottom line, some degree of muscularity is imperative to sexual attraction, which is probably what many of you are striving for; to sexually attract the best looking partner as possible.
Now, the problem when people try to apply these crazy crash diets on how to lose fat fast is the reality that they may drop a significant amount of weight, but as any fitness expert would indicate, up to 50% of that weight was a loss of muscle! This is a huge negative to almost every fitness enthusiast worldwide; bodybuilders all over would lose sleep over the thought of it.
The point to drive home: Weight loss does not equal fat loss.
So how do you lose weight the right way, or more precisely, how do you target fat loss?
In a nutshell, by extending your weight loss goal from 1 month, to 3 months.
The reason for this is simple; the slower you lose weight, you more muscle you preserve, the more fat you burn. There are a wide range of nutrition experts and researchers who have done countless studies, indicating the same repeated results; fat loss takes time.
Though, not all is bad news. There are other research breakthroughs out there that show that fat loss is actually easy and that all you need to do is follow a few simple rules. The only catch is just following those rules for many weeks consecutively. It’s tough, but the benefits speak for themselves. There are some great places to get started though if you’re just a beginner, and there’s nothing more motivational than witnessing one person losing fat as we speak.
