How to Lose Weight Without Running

Most of us do not particularly enjoy the road work portion of their weight loss regime. A few, however, can not do this stuff at all! Whether it is due to injury, location, etc. sometimes you really can not do any running. In this article, I will teach you how to lose weight without running. It is easier to do it with running but still possible without.

First of all, your diet should be very clean and lean. Since you will not have that extra chance to boost your metabolism, a clean diet becomes very important. Eat lean meats like chicken and turkey mixed with just a bit or red meat for fat. You should always try to eat leafy green vegetables both for the nutrients/anti oxidants and the fiber. Fiber is in fact very important to losing weight as it keeps your intestines squeaky clean!

If you are not doing any running, you can still do some training! Even if you stay at home, you can do a ton of floor exercises like push ups, crunches, and squats. There really is no excuse to get a full body workout no matter where you are! If you happen to be injured and that is why you can not run, do take precautions to stay well away from the injured area in your training.

Even if you can not run, all the little things do add up. For example, if a friends house is within walking distance but you usually drive, you can start walking there and back. You can also be proactive about physical tasks in the workplace. Always having some activity in your day to day life is actually easier to do mentally than actually doing work outs. Often times, this approach can be just as effective too!

So you see, it is possible to lose weight without running or any other cardio for that matter. You just have to have everything else in check. Eat clean and lean to be sure that your metabolism is working right. Still do what exercises you can to get a regular workout in every day. Finally, do little things every day to be just that much more active- it really does add up! These are the keys to losing weight other than cardio. It is indeed harder to do things this way but some effort is always better than none when it comes to getting the results you are looking for!
