What use to be an epidemic has evolved into an reality, all around the globe people are asking the question how to stop overeating? In this article we are going to briefly review how this issue has grown into a world wide problem and how it is effecting you and your loved ones not only physically but emotionally as well.
The food Industry has been a growing and booming way of making money. Think about it every where you turn you see food advertisements on T.V., billboards, internet, taxi cabs, emails, flyers the list goes on. For what ever reason this industry of food has been growing and growing making someone lots of money. Most likely that someone is not you or I.
So the question is asked how to stop overeating? The answer is simple but the solution is a big challenge. The food that we eat is filled with all kinds of chemicals that cause our bodies to become addicted to that food. Yes, just like a drug such as cocaine, heroine, nicotine and alcohol. Now before you debate that answer, I am not saying that the food drug is as strong as the other drugs I mentioned. What I am saying is that a lot of the food you and I eat an a daily bases is filled with addictive chemicals, not to the levels of the before mentioned drugs but they are addictive.
So understanding that the food we eat literally has addictive chemicals can help you understand why you cant stop eating. Tell and alcoholic to stop drinking or a smoker to stop smoking. They want to but over coming those drugs is harder done than said. The challenge with overeating is not only based upon the addiction to food but, it is also governed by an emotional stimulus in our brains.
You see there is a reason we over eat and we do not stop. The reason is that emotionally we are eating to feel comfort or happiness. So when our bodies tell us that we are full our brains tell us to keep eating if we want to continue our feel good experience. Because we want to feel good, we keep eating and eating. Finally we get to a point that we can not eat anymore and we become sick. Some people at this point make themselves vomit and others just deal with it.
How to stop overeating is a challenge however, there is a way to do it. You must be willing to identify what took place to push you towards that food in the first place. This is paramount to understanding why you can not stop eating. How to stop overeating will become more and more challenging the longer it is avoided.
