When I got the invitation for my ten-year class reunion. It has been ten years since I had last seen my class mates. It had me thinking I wanted to look good for the reunion.
First of all I was never really self conscious of my appearance. I was getting a little over weight. I had thought. I noticed looking at our recent family photos I appeared a little heavier. They say you always look fatter in pictures. Am I not right? Besides the appearance reasons. I felt I was getting enough exercise by mowing the grass and doing chores around the house. Though I have to admit I was spending way to much time being a couch potato in front of the T.V. watching my favorite sporting events. Not mention my not so healthy diet. Sure I was eating well-balanced meals. But I was eating too much. The unhealthy late night snacks. Stopping at my favorite fast food restaurant. I deserved a break today.
Idid not have the energy I had just a few years ago. I found myself not doing the things I once enjoyed doing. Going on family bike rides, going to the river to go swimming.The old dog just wast not getting the exercise he enjoyed..( our Black Labrador) My last physical check up should have been enough motivation. My doctor had mention my blood pressure was higher than normal. Also the reminder I was a prime candidate for diabetes.(since I had a history of it on both sides of my family)
Sad to say my vanity or pride was my major motivator. The class reunion had made me take a hard look at my unhealthy lifestyle.So I decided I need help with changing my life style. So what was going to be my Ideal Weight Plan I did know of some fad diets that family members and friends had tried. That did not seem to work. "Adkins, South Beach, the diet pills and some kind of stavation Celebrity Best Hollywood crash diet plans.
By coincident I ran into a old friend from college who even in his early twenties had a weight problem. He told me he lost over 50 pounds. He done in about 7 months. The definetly caught my intrest thinking My reunion was in 8 months. He told me the name of the plan was strip that fat. So I found their website. I was pleased with the information about their plan.They have a weight loss calculator at 6 foot my ideal weight was 173 pounds They have two plans Phase I and Phase II. They understand that some people want to lose weight now. Some want to lose weight six months from now.The lone termand subsustainable loss phase takes care of this. I looked good for my class reunion, I learned to lose weight the way I needed to.
