Jordin Sparks Weight Loss - What Is Her Secret?

Jordin Sparks weight loss success has been a hot topic for some time now. The songstress is one of the America Idol alumni female musicians making big headlines not just because of her music career but also because of this impressive weight loss. If you're not too familiar with her music she released a couple of hit singles and has also been featured in a couple of collaborations. She shot to stardom after winning the popular American Idol show in 2007. Ever since then she has continued a successful recording career with songs like ‘Battle Field’ and ‘No Air’ featuring Chris Brown.

However, her voice is not the only thing that has brought her the popularity she enjoys today. She is also known for her incredible weight loss. This all started way back during the 2007 America Idol finals. Jordin had to make some effort to lose weight. Since then, she has gone from being curvy to being gorgeously lean all thanks to the Jordin Sparks weight loss plan she and her personal trainer created.

The main part of the Jordin Sparks weight loss success is due to her work out. As you all expect, Jordin is a very busy lady with all the tours, interviews, concerts and the celebrity life. However, she creates time for working out even though it means working out while on tour. This is the first step to cutting weight; dedication. She always follows a particular routine.

Jordin Sparks weight loss exercise routine:

To start, she does some warm ups. This is essential so as to keep the body burning calories once you begin doing the actual main routines. She carries dumbbells weighing 10 pounds up and down stairs for about 4 minutes. The second step in Jordin Sparks weight loss routine is doing lunges for at least ten minutes. This should be done in a wide open space or alternatively down a hall of about 100 feet. Frog squats are the best to finish up though there is an option of wall-sits too. Then Jordin proceeds on to perform leg push ups. Simply place one foot on a step and push up and down while holding dumbbells weighing 10 pounds. Do 25 push ups per legs with 100 jumps in between each set of push ups. She Jordin goes on to do shoulder raises and laterals with 8 pound dumbbells. She then finishes the workout with sit ups, crunches and reverse curls.

However, Jordin still claims that she does not plan to be a size 2 any time soon. She feels proud to be what she is. All in all, she was really suffering when on set and therefore she had to cut down her excess weight. With the help of her personal trainer Kriss Siegrest, Jordin Sparks weight loss became a reality. In her regime she trains for about four days a week and follows a healthy diet. She lost 20 pounds within five months. In Jordin's healthy diet, she sticks to fruits, vegetables, high protein, fiber and of course plenty of water. When comparing before and after photos it is easy to see that her new healthy approach is certainly paying off.
