Metabolism Type Diet – Are You Eating What’s Right for You?

Ya, Franz Here! I can hear the New Year’s Resolutions coming already! People are thinking, “I’ll eat whatever I want for the holidays and lose the weight starting next year.” I think it’s always better to make healthy food choices and not throw caution to the wind, but if you are so inclined, than please consider thinking about the metabolism type diet so you can lose the pounds as efficiently as possible. Remember I have said in past articles, holiday weight gain is the weight that statistically never fully comes off. So, year after year it continues to add up, and that’s how you can wind up being twenty to thirty or more pounds over your ideal weight.

The metabolism type diet is not really a so-called diet but more of a way to help you uncover the best way for your body to react to the three macronutrient groups: proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. If you are a protein type person the correct ratio for you would be fifty percent protein, twenty percent carbs, and 30 percent fat. If you are a carbohydrate type you would be better with twenty five percent protein, sixty percent carbs, and fifteen percent fat. And finally if you are a mix of the protein and carb type then you would consume thirty percent protein, forty percent carbs, and thirty percent fat.

The comparison between the three shows a lot of difference between the values of each type. So, if you are a carb type on a protein diet, it would be no wonder that you would be seeing no results and just give up. Let’s say that you are a carb type, and you chose the Atkins diet, which is a protein based diet at first, and after a few weeks you saw no measurable results, and you felt terrible to boot. Well, you would probably give up and say dieting doesn’t work for me. It wouldn’t be that at all! It would be because you were eating the wrong food for your body to react properly to the meal it was given.

What the metabolism type diet does is to figure out the proper ratio of the macronutrients for you, and then have you build meals around those ratios. Sounds simple right? Well it is if you have the right meal plans to follow once you know your metabolism type. But, you also have to know the foods that are the worst for you, even if they are proteins and you are a protein type person. You must understand why certain foods are either ideal or not so that you can make a dieting meal plan that would contain the best choices for your type.

Okay, how can Franz help you figure out your type so you can take advantage of the benefits of the metabolism type diet? You may or may not be able to answer them right off, but think about them for a few days until you have answered them all honestly, and use the information to determine your type. Once you do, then we can figure out optimal meals for you, meal plans that will give you the results you are looking for!
