Striving for A Slimmer Waistline

Many people especially women are keen to lose belly fat and have a trimmed and toned waistline. For this reason, they desperately latch on to fad diets and weight loss pills that promise wonders and a flatter belly. Many even keep their body in starvation mode to help them achieve success in getting rid of belly fat. But the waistline can be reduced by taking an easy and simple approach. Integrating some Abs exercises and observing proper and calorie-controlled nutrition can help to shift belly fat.

Exercises to achieve a flat abdomen:

Many people assume that creating a calorie deficit burns weight. This is true but only partially. If you want your body to keep burning calories nonstop and increase your rate of metabolism, then you have to build lean muscle mass. Lean muscle mass creates a greater calorie deficit even when in resting mode. Here are some of the exercises that will help you in enhancing your muscle mass and paving a way for a flatter tummy.

The bicycle exercise:

Lie down on your back and brings the arms to the back of the head. Then start bringing your knees to your chest and raise your shoulders off the floor at the same time. Gradually get your right elbow to touch your left knee while you straighten your right leg. Swap the sides and carry on the pedaling step. Do 3 sets with 12 repetitions.

Engage in plenty of aerobic exercise:

You can choose your own favorite activity and keep working on it five times a week for 40 minutes to tone your abdominal muscles. Running, jogging, swimming, bike riding, walking at a brisk pace and jumping rope are excellent workouts that target total body fat by increasing the rate of metabolism and accelerating your calorie burning process.

Involve your body in abdominal exercises

Crunches and sit-ups are great resistance training workouts for flattening the stomach. Performing crunches and leg lifts on an exercise ball can also help you improve your core strength.

Yoga is the best way to improve your strength and lose belly weight. Yoga can alleviate stress and inhibit the production of the hormone cortisol, which plays an important part in signaling the body to store fat in the abdominal region. Yoga is very beneficial in toning the midsection muscles and enhancing the stability and endurance of the body.

How to Get a Flatter Stomach

Do you want to know the secret formula to have a rock-solid midsection? Many men and women today aspire to this. They go to the gym and concentrate on the toning the muscles in the stomach area. With dedication to exercise, there is a big chance to get a slimmer, fat-free and super toned stomach muscle area.

Getting a flatter stomach

You will have to make a serious effort if you want a flatter stomach in a short time. Here are a few things that will make it possible for you to get a washboard stomach naturally.

Strength training routine

You have to work out your entire body to create balance. So, you need to have a strength training routine in order to exercise all your muscle groups. When you work out your whole body, you will develop lots more lean muscles. The more muscles you build, the more calories you burn. Did you know that every pound of muscle is capable of burning 35 to 50 calories in a day?

Cardio exercises

You should do cardio exercises at least 5 days a week. If you think it is not possible for you to get involved in cardio exercises on a daily basis, modify your routine according to your own stamina. It is okay to get involved in medium length and medium intensity cardio exercises on some days. You can even set days for high intensity, medium intensity, and low intensity workouts. You can even have a rest day or two in between.

It is also advisable that you include cardio exercises that target your abdominal muscles to slim them down. You can also hire the help of a physical trainer who can guide you in this regard.

Healthy diet

You should have a control on the number of calories ingested. You will need to concentrate on a diet with low-calorie foods. It is advisable that you eat high fiber foods such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Forget about candy, ice cream and other high-calorie junk foods.

You should drink plenty of water and unsweetened fruit juice and tea. Fluids can help a lot in the digestion of food. Together with the high fiber food, fluids will clean up the toxins in your body.

It will require determination and resolve on your part if you want to attain a flatter stomach. The good news is that it is indeed possible to get a flatter stomach with the help of the pointers given above.
