If there is one area most people are struggling with these days, is the issue of losing weight. Surely, no one would intentionally like to grow obese. If you would agree with me, obesity does not just come, you invite it, by the life style you have adopted. What do i mean? poor feeding habits and lack of exercises. The fact of the matter , obesity is brought about by accumulation of belly fat, leading to overweight. This is very interesting , and i know you are not aware. Fats weigh five times the weight of muscles, wow! did you ever know that?

It is a very serious issue when you own that belly fat, because the consequences are scary. However, i will tell you upfront; it leads you to poor healthy and you will suffer from stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, among other diseases.

That being said, how do you then lose belly fat?

  • Diet:

Diet is one effective means to help you lose belly fat. It really depends on what you eat, when and where. You have to be choosy; know which type of foods are best for you. By all means, avoid junk foods. They have no value to your body, just increase your weight. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. The rate of metabolism will be increased and you will be able to burn more fats from your body. Mind you, the target is fats, not muscles. With fruits, they also help to build muscles which finally help to burn fat. The more muscles you have, the better. Other good stuff contained in these foods are vitamins and minerals. They also help to cut down your weight.

Make sure you also consume lean protein which will increase your metabolism. Proteins also control glucose and insulin levels, and they will cut food cravings, so that you will not be tempted to eat junk foods.

Always make sure you eat at least two hours before you sleep.This will enable your body to digest the food, such that, when you go to sleep, no fats will accumulate on your belly. You will always find some people snacking when they almost getting to bed. Now you know it, preach the gospel to your family members and friends and recommend them to stop the habit if they want to live a healthy fulfilling life.

Water is another element which is also very effective in reducing your belly fat. I recommend people to drink at least 3 liters of water per day. It increases the rate of metabolism, and more fats get burnt. Water also keeps you hydrated and make you full, such that you have no feeling of eating. It is important , always take a glass of water before you eat, and in the course of eating, continue taking more water. You will be surprised how little food you will have taken, because your stomach is flooded with water but in a good way.

  • Exercise:

When did you last exercise? Exercise....exercise...exercise! This is a must. People got so busy that they do have time of their own to improve on themselves. I was also there. I did not have time because of work, or not seeing a point to do it, but when i learnt the truth and the benefit, up to this day, exercise is part of me. I had to intentionally put it in my daily routine, for me to live healthy and stronger. So, you are not alone, it is something very common with people. You should ask yourself, why should i exercise? If you want live stronger, healthy and longer; apart from diet, exercise is the number two, if you intentionally want to lose belly fat and eventually lose weight. You could incorporate some cardio form of exercise like walking, swimming, jogging, bike riding and running among others. You do not have to take several hours doing this. Twenty to thirty minutes would be very much adequate per day. Just be focused and be consistent.

Weight training is another one. I started with this; it is faster and very effective. Weight lifting helps your body to build a lot of muscles and lean one too. With a lot of muscle mass, as i told you earlier,it will burn a lot of fats accumulated on your belly.

As i close, if you follow the above steps, losing belly fat will be history within a very short time. All you will be required to do is maintenance, otherwise your body may revert back to obesity. Diet and exercise are the real deal, secrets to help you lose belly fat and weight, it now your time to take action.
