Tips For Losing Weight – The No Brainers

Are you a victim of this high paced world? Do you take time to take care of yourself? Since you are reading this, the answer is probably no. Everything needs to be done right now and you don’t taken time to cook and exercise. Why would you with all the pressure and the availability of all those fast food restaurants and microwave meals. The answer is simple, because these are bad for you. No news there. But this is something you need to hear over and over again. These meals are low in nutrition, high in fat and high in sodium. This is a bad combination. Let me talk to you about some of the most basic tips for losing weight.

The thing I can’t stress enough is start cooking your own food. This gives you so much more control on what you eat, how much fat and salt you use and which vitamins and minerals you take in. And you know I am not talking about turning on the deep fryer or oven and fry some fries or bake a deep frozen pizza. So you invest in a (healthy) cookbook and start peeling those potatoes and clean those vegetables. And please don’t say you haven’t got time to create your own meal. There are a lot of nice healthy diners that take just 30 minutes to complete. Just start cooking your own food is not enough. Most likely you will have to look at your eating habits on a larger scale. But getting rid of the microwave and fast food meals is a no brainer.

When talking about tips for losing weight, exercise needs to be your next priority after you have sorted out your eating habits. It’s simple chemistry. You have an excess of energy stored in your fat. And YOU need to burn this off. Cardio exercises are the way to go when you want to burn off energy. When you increase your heart rate you need more energy. It is best to build a daily routine of various cardio exercises. Choose the one you like doing and don’t be afraid to mix then up. You could begin with a 15 minute walk and then do a 15 minute bike ride or start on the steps and finish on a treadmill. Aim for at least a work out of 30 minutes every day.

Well I know these tips for losing weight are not the most advanced and anyone knows them. For those who do apply these basic tips, there are other sites with weight loss tips. But how many of you actually apply them in their daily routine? I guess not that much. This is a reminder and it will only take an hour to an hour and a half a day to implement these simple changes in your life. This can be an easy start to your weight loss journey, just give it a try.
