If weight loss for a wedding is your goal, then here are some helpful tips for you!

In order to loose weight, whatever the reason may be, the formula is really quite simple. Your energy input, that is food, needs to be less than your energy output, which is how you burn up your food. So obviously diet and exercise are both important in helping you reach your target by a specific date, which is a wedding.

There are so many diets out there and really they all work given enough time. I've even heard of people losing weight eating nothing but chocolate biscuits, which theoretically would work, but how sick would you feel? This is certainly NOT something that I would recommend. Who would want to achieve weight loss for a wedding and feel terrible? A sensible diet would still be the best option, because you would look and feel better for the big day. An eating plan that had plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables would be a great place to start, not just because they are healthy (unless you deep fry them) but they are low in calories and they fill you up. Unless you are a vegetarian or vegan, I would also recommend modest portions of lean meat, so you don't miss out on important protein.

I realize that just about everyone says to drink plenty of water, but if you are serious about successful weight loss for a wedding, you need to drink as much water as possible. Apparently the 6-8 glasses of water a day is a total myth, but drinking water is still very beneficial. Water helps fill you up, so it can help with portion control of your food intake and it also helps to flush toxins from the body.

My next weight loss for a wedding tip is exercise. Since there is a specific date that you are working towards, then I would recommend resistance or weight training. The latest research shows that this is the best way of losing weight because you are turning fat into muscle and muscle has higher energy needs than fat stores which results in a higher metabolic rate and therefore you burn the same amount of food faster!

Whatever exercise you choose to do, because all exercise is beneficial for successful weight loss for a wedding, make sure you do it regularly, but be careful not to overdo it, because the last thing you would want or need is to have some injury.

My final tip for successful weight loss for a wedding is to be realistic with your goals and start as early as possible for the greatest chance of success.
