Weight Loss Through Juicing

There are tons of diet products on the supermarket shelves, but as a personal trainer I do not recommend any of them.  I actually recommend juicing for weight loss.  The processed foods and convenience foods are what cause much of the weight gain for individuals.  To reverse that, you must change what you eat and how you live.  Exercise is an important part of that, but a healthy diet is a much more essential key to your good health.

Many people like the idea of eating whatever junk that they see and just exercising off the excess calories.  However, for many people this just doesn't work.  In fact, I see many overweight members at the gym who claim that they love to work out so that they can eat whatever they want.  Well, clearly they aren't working out nearly as much as they need to burn the calories or their method just doesn't work for them. 

There are some simple reasons why exercise doesn't always work for weight loss.  The toxins in our food could be impairing the thyroid function.  Many people mask their headaches with over the counter medication and don't realize that they are putting drugs into their bodies.  Medications are drugs that use up some of the body's energy to eliminate.  The body is already overloaded with junk and working its hardest to get the toxins and extra food out.  Another reason is that the body simply does not get the vitamins and minerals that it needs from the processed foods.

A simple and healthy solution is a juice fast.  This accomplishes a number of things.  It will give the digestive system a much needed break as it starts up a process of healing.  The body will repair itself with the extra nutrients that you are feeding it.  Your body will start a process of detoxification since it is not focused on digesting the foods that you are putting into it.  You will also feel like you have more energy because the nutrients are quickly being assimilated into your bloodstream because the body does not need to break down the fiber to get to them.  Juicing does wonderful things for your body.

Juicing for weight loss has been done for many years and lots of people have written books about their experiences juicing.  Many people who have tried it report that not only have they lost weight, but some of their other symptoms such as migranes and autoimmune diseases have been eliminated through juicing for weight loss.

To start on a juicing program, all you need to do is find a great juicing machine and locate a great source of local organic produce.  Organic is the best because you will not be putting pesticides in your body, but if you can't afford organic, make sure you wash the food and cut off the peels.  Then simply replace your meals with a variety of juiced fruits and vegetables.  Juicing for weight loss is that simple.  No counting calories or reading labels, just lots of great produce.
