What Can I Do To Lose Weight Fast?

There are many ways to lose weight fast. For example you could try a detox diet, diet pills, juice diets, watermelon or peanut butter weight loss programs or even surgery. But you do not have to go to these lengths if you want to shed excess pounds, tone your body and look much better.

You should never go on a detox diet or any other type of weight loss program if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have any medical conditions unless you have been advised to do so by your doctor. Some people cannot keep a detox diet going as the side effects are too unpleasant. Some may suggest that you try a juice diet instead but although this is OK for a couple of days, it is not good for you long term. Even drinking pure fruit or vegetable juices is not a good idea as it can cause tooth decay and the sugar highs cause havoc with your blood system. Your body burns more calories if you eat the fruit and vegetables in their whole form rather than juice them.

The key to losing weight is very simple. You need to reduce the amount of calories you consume and increase the amount of physical activity. You can do this without going on any dramatic diet. If you cut all the take away and convenience foods from your diet, you will reduce the amount of calories you consume. Substitute water for all drinks including diet sodas, tea and coffee and that is yet more calories you have cut from your daily intake. Next tackle your portion size. It is estimated we eat a third more at every meal than they did two generations ago yet we do less than half of the physical activity our grandparents did. So try serving your meals on smaller plates and don't go back for seconds!

The best way to lose weight and keep it off is by following a sensible eating and exercise plan. Not only will you lose excess pounds but you will tone up and have lots more energy. The effects are likely to be long lasting as well. They will certainly last longer than any results you achieve from a detox or fruit juice diet. If you are not sure what a sensible eating plan looks like, join a fitness bootcamp and follow the guide of the certified personal trainer in charge of the group.
