Many people are asking themselves “Why am I not losing weight?” If you are one of the people asking this same question this question then you should probably ask yourself a few questions. Are you really exercising as much as you should? More importantly are you eating what you should be eating in the right amounts?

In order for you to lose weight you have to simply use up more calories than you consume. It is as simple as this but as you are probably finding out it is by no means easy. The reason it is not easy is that if you are on a restrictive diet you will probably fall of the wagon at some point and sabotage yourself. Most people fall into this category because they simply starve themselves and while it works at the start they either plateau or they relapse and go back to their old eating habits.

Many people who succeed by starving themselves will usually end up gaining the weight back and more. 95% to be exact. This is simply because their body is in starvation mode and when it is in this mode it will say to itself okay it seems this is the only food we will be getting this time. Let’s make it easier for us to store fat in the future so should this happen again we will be better equipped to deal with it. This is a response we have from ancient times because there would be periods in which someone would not eat for a long time, maybe even a week, so this response would be what keeps the human with enough energy to allow him to continue to look for food.

There is another approach which is easier to follow and allows you to lose consistent weight with little chance of you gaining the weight back. The answer is to switch to a diet with negative calories. Negative calorie foods are those whereby simply digesting them will induce a caloric deficit. This is because digesting foods requires energy and there are certain foods whereby if you eat them you will burn calories because the amount of calories inside the food is actually less than what is being used to break the food down. The great thing is that you will also never feel hungry having eaten these foods.

The advantages of eating these foods are plenty. First of all they are healthier than normal foods, they do not take any time to prepare at all and are also much more cost efficient.
