A new diet has been gaining a lot of attention. It is called the Doctor's Diet, a plan invented by Dr. Travis Stork. Though it hasn't been completely revealed to the general public, there is a lot of PR work going on and a lot of people are anxiously awaiting it's release which is either going to be at the end of this year or beginning of 2014.
Either way, what is known as this diet is that it is going to last for several weeks. There are at least 2 phases of cycles involved in which users will be changing up their eating routines.
For the first phase, which is said to be the "STAT" phase, users will be eating low carb meals just as many diets dictate. But contrary to the other strict protein/veggies only approach, what this diet does add is other layers of foods you can eat: Fruits, nuts, grains.
This is certainly going to add diversity to STAT and make it more unique than traditional low carb diets, but it's still not going to be an easy 2 weeks for most dieters as one of the people who tried this diet has said. The majority of foods users will be eating will be typical low carb foods such as lean meats, fish, eggs, peppers, broccoli, ect...
Then there will be a second phase which will actually mix up a lot of foods you ate in the first phase. This time around, more flexibility will be provided, but the key here is to help your body restore itself by re-teaching it to apply healthy eating habits.
A majority of foods users will be eating here will a mix or proteins/grains/vegetables. There will be snacks allowed such as fruits and smoothies. Dr. Stork also showed off that another huge perk of this phase is that users will be able to even eat popcorn and drink wine.
Even though this diet is still being played off in a secret way to get people's attention, if you do enough research, you will be able to find a food pyramid of this plan. So far, in theory this diet does sound promising but it's meant to be a long term solution which diets will have to abide to, something that has proven very difficult for most and has resulted in constant yo-yo dieting.
And what about the weight loss results? Well there isn't much information there, but one of the people who had tried this diet and appeared on Dr. Stork's show did say he lost about 14 pounds in the first 2 weeks of doing this diet. Certainly results will vary, but it's a good start.
