I do a lot of traveling around North Carolina, especially Charlotte and I record what I learn about the places and attractions I visit in the state on my blog. I try to give honest reviews of the places many people will visit. And over time I have started to receive a lot of emails asking me for my opinion on different places in North Carolina. Today, I received an email in all capital letters titled, "QUICK, THE BEST CHARLOTTE WEDDING VENUES!!!".

As I searched the Rolodex in my mind it didn't take me too long to come up with a few of the best venues in the city of Charlotte. There's Uwharrie Vineyards, the Duke Mansion, The Ritz Carlton and if you are religious, St. Mary's Chapel is always a pretty place for a wedding.

All four of these options listed above are great wedding venue choices in the city of Charlotte. So I emailed the lady back with this list. But she returned the email saying she had tried all these places and they were all booked for the weekend that they needed for her daughter's wedding!!!

Visiting Uwharrie Vineyards

It just so happened that I was visiting Uwharrie Vineyards a couple days after she had sent me the first email asking for a quick wedding venue in the Charlotte NC area. And what else is I overheard the owners of the vineyard talking about how a bride had just cancelled her wedding. And it just so happened this opened up a spot in their wedding venue book.

So after I learned this I spoke to the owners of Uwharrie Vineyards, telling them I knew a person who desperately needed a wedding venue. I asked them if it was possible to let them fill in the spot that had just been canceled? They were thrilled to say the least!!! And I went home and emailed the lady back telling her how a spot had just opened up at Uwharrie Vineyards. And she was thrilled to learn this also!!

How helpful I could be with wedding venues

Its funny where life takes you, I would have never thought in a million years I would be able to help someone in their wedding planning. I think Uwharrie Vineyards is a beautiful winery, the owners are very nice and the staff here is excellent. Even though I had never attended a wedding here, I was very confident in recommending this NC winery as a wedding venue.
