A fairly common condition in which cells from the lining of the uterus grow in other areas of the body-endometriosis is suffered by about one in ten women of child-bearing age. Compared to other females, inflammatory bowel disease can be developed by women with endometriosis, and the proportion is almost twice, this was showed by a study published in Gut. Following an endometriosis diagnosis, the effect can last for up to 20 years.

Abdominal pain can be caused by chronic inflammatory disorders- endometriosis and inflammatory bowel disease, and the bowel can be affected by these two disorders too. Both disorders commonly start in young adults.

For an average period of 13 years, the long-term health of over 37,000 Danish women who were hospitalized with endometriosis was monitored by researchers.

Inflammatory bowel disease was developed by 320 of these women during this with ulcerative colitis monitoring period, of which 92 were diagnosed with Crohn's disease and 228. Compared with women in the general population, in those with endometriosis, a 50% higher risk of developing inflammatory bowel disease is translated.

It was approximately 10 years after they were diagnosed with endometriosis to develop inflammatory bowel disease that is the average period.

After the initial diagnosis, the effect persisted for over 20 years and the risk increased to 80%, it was discovered by the researchers when they restricted the study to those with surgically confirmed endometriosis.

Through the effects of endometriosis therapy or in that both disorders share common causes, the association between the two disorders could potentially be explained, it was concluded by the researchers. The risk of developing inflammatory bowel disease can be increased by a common treatment for endometriosis over long-term by using oral contraceptives according to some research.

How can endometriosis be cured? Treatment for endometriosis is usually with medications or surgery. The approach you and your doctor choose will depend on the severity of your signs and symptoms and whether you hope to become pregnant.

Generally, doctors recommend trying conservative treatment approaches first, opting for surgery as a last resort.

1. Pain medications

2. Hormone therapy

3. Conservative surgery

4. Assisted reproductive technologies.

5. Hysterectomy

6. Fuyan Pill as an alternative treatment, it can be the best choice for women who want to get pregnant in the future without any wound from surgery and who don’t want to get endometriosis again in the future.
