If you need a lot of articles for your websites and don’t have the time to do all the writing yourself, one option is buying articles with Private Label Rights (PLR). These are articles that are written and then sold to as many people as possible. Each buyer is free to use the articles in any way they choose. Although some internet marketing experts disapprove of the practice, the fact is a lot of online businesses owners buy them and use them.
If you haven’t ever brought them, but you’re thinking about it the big question will be – Is it worth it? Listed below are some of the pros and cons of buying PLR articles.
Pros
1. Provide ideas
PLA articles can be a great resource for generating or providing you with new ideas.
2. Wide amount of topics available
One of the attractions of PLR articles is that you can get articles on such a large amount of topics, which is particularly appealing to people who run multiple websites.
3. Work to your strengths
If writing really isn’t one of your things and you don’t really enjoy it. Buying PLR articles can relieve you of some of the stress of writing and leave you free to spend time working to your strengths on other issues.
4. Time saved
Oh yes it can be great if you suddenly have a bundle of articles on your chosen subject which you can post to your website or to an article directory. It could potentially save you a lot of research and writing time.
5. Low Price
There are many different deals on the internet for PLR articles and you can get a large amount of articles very cheaply indeed.
.
Cons
1. Won’t necessarily know what you’re getting
It’s not always clear if your buy a bundle of PLR articles, what you’re actually getting. Although you may be given a list of categories, you probably won’t get to see any of the articles before purchase. This means it’s a risk because you don’t really know what the individual articles are like and how useful they will be to you.
2. Variable quality
Although there are some good PLR articles that you can purchase, there are also a lot of truly dreadful ones. I know – I’ve bought some of them. Poor grammar, sloppy writing, inaccurate advice are just some of the problems I’ve come across.
3. Time spent changing articles
One of the disadvantages of PLR articles is that they can take a lot of time to alter, particularly if the quality is poor. If you have to make too many changes you may not think that they're such good value for money. It's quite possible that you may find yourself spending just as much time making changes as if you had written the article from scratch.
4. Size of bundles
You can actually buy bundles of up to 10,000 articles which may sound great, but that’s an awful lot of articles to be unzipping and trying to make sense of them. The chances are you won't use most of them.
5. Duplicate content
The same articles are being sold to hundreds, perhaps thousands of people. If you don’t make changes to them you run the risk of having duplicate content.
Conclusion
Are PLR articles worth it? Clearly a lot of people think they are, or they wouldn’t keep being produced. If you're not keen on article writing or you feel that you don't have the right skills, they are a viable option.
But would I recommend them? Not really. But that's because I haven’t had a good experience with them. However, I’m aware there are plenty of people who do buy them.
If you are going to buy them think carefully about where you’re going to purchase them from, whether you're getting what you want and whether you're really getting value for money.
your article is rich and informative. however i found a mistake at the beginning of your second paragraph.... thank you
