Poetry And Internet Marketing-finding A Connection
Join 1000's of Authors at StreetArticles Today!

You know, this is my first real article at Street Articles, exciting, and though I have many many topics to talk/write about, I thought today, I will give my brain a little rest and write about two of my favourite passions, poetry and Internet marketing and try find a relevant connection.

Like Internet Marketing, poetry takes time, dedication, skill, persistence, knowledge, discipline and an ability to add in some fun and enjoy yourself. I started writing 15 years ago, published in a lot of magazines but never got around to publishing a book, yet! But it is on the cards and one of the main reasons I came to the wonderful world of Internet Marketing.

Internet and Affiliate Marketing, for those not familiar with these terms, is the ability to create an online business for yourself, creating an income be it regular or as a hobby making a few dollars here and there and this can be achieved through many mediums whether you build yourself some websites (which is quite easy these days) or write articles and so on, there is a process, all you have to do is some training, and of course some hard work, but the rewards will be there for persistence and dedication.

Now, as a writer, I have many project ideas, and most will take a lot of time, sweat and tears which I am gladly willing to give as poetry is my life and life is poetry. But to achieve these goals I will need all the time I can get which also means I will need some money coming from somewhere as writing for magazines etc. accounts for very little.

Now this is where Internet Marketing comes in. I have two books and two plays over the next two years to produce, and as I have said, these are two time consuming projects which money will play a key factor, and how does one take nearly two years to dedicate time to these projects with-out working (I am a chef by trade but as I said, time time time). This is where the wonderful world of poetry and Internet Marketing sort of take there first steps on the dance floor together.

In January 2010, I knew I needed to be making a consistent income some-how while starting on my projects and this is where I stumbled across the  Wealthy Affiliate University and the online community and training course that would help me start creating an online income for myself (through blood sweat and tears of course) and would gradually start helping me earn just enough to live on, which in turn would give me the time to concentrate on my projects.

Its been  just over a year now since I joined this online community, which you could say is my second home really. Now I will give you a break down of my plan, maybe it will inspire people to do something similar if even anybody is reading my ranting waffle ha! but here it is anyhow...

I have giving myself a two year plan to work extremely hard at Internet Marketing with the help of the Wealthy Affiliate Community in creating an online income for myself, which hopefully will be a regular income, enough to live on as I am not greedy nor in need of a ton of cash, and in the mean time still working part-time as a chef, working my socks of online, and in two years be able to say, great, I have a regular income coming in, give up the slavery of the kitchen world for ever and ever amen, and put the head down and start on my wonderful poetry and play projects, the source and energy that keeps my pumping brain a happy little camper.

Now of course, it will take hard work, and while I will be writing my plays etc, I will still have to spend a couple of hours a day on my Internet Marketing sites tweaking and keeping up to date making sure I have a decent amount of money coming in, which is already on-course (thank you Wealthy Affiliate) and with-in say five years, merging poetry and Internet Marketing together, content and free doing the two things I love.

This will happen! It is already on course and I honestly believe any writer can do this. You may ask yourself, how do I start to create an online business for myself let alone try building a website. Well, I had that same problem, even worse, I only learned to use a computer three years ago and STILL type with one finger.

So as I said, I started training with The Wealthy Affiliate university, an online course that teaches you everything and also has a vast helpful and amazing community to guide you along. In a year I have built 17 websites. I know, crazy for a guy who has no idea how to build website yet I have 17 (and grown) and the crazy thing about these sites is they range from Cheap Streaming Players to Ikea kitchen sites, How to play a Ukulele site, and 10 Halloween sites which do really well (even now) for me and I love writing articles for these sites which I am looking forward to adding to Street Articles.

You can visit one of my main sites,The Internet Marketing Cauldron, and see how I learned all I know and how I am creating some extra cash for myself. I also have a poetry site, only new, it is an e-book site but I will be adding my own work and also asking readers to add theirs too and this site you can visit is wait for it, Funeral Poem E-Books.com, I know, a little be morbid, but the market is there and I enjoy writing anything about poetry.

So as you can see, by combining two passions I will be able to create a pretty sweet life for myself. Now with Internet Marketing, you could go on and on and create a lot of money for yourself, a serious lot of cash, but that is not my goal. My goal is spreading the art of literature, poetry to be exact, my love and my life, and hopefully when published, at least some people will get pleasure and inspiration from a poem, as I do.
