Street Talk Benefits - Attracting Feedback To Your Articles
Join 1000's of Authors at StreetArticles Today!

Phrase of the day is...

Street Talk.

You have heard of comments before, but you may have never heard of “Street Talk”. Well, this is our version of comments at StreetArticles.com...a way of gathering feedback, capturing interest, creating ongoing dialogue, improving your articles, and ultimately, attracting much more attention to your content.

Getting people to “talk” about your article is great for a few reasons, which I am going to go into more detail discussing:

(1) Gathering Feedback

Street Talk is a great way to get feedback on your writing, the emotions it evokes in readers, along with many other variables. Having a source of feedback right within your articles will allow you to determine how well your writing has been received.

(2) Capturing Interest

The more people talk about your articles, the more interest that you are going to be able for future articles. If you continually writing provocative, opinionated articles, you are going to have people waiting to read what you have to say and ultimately talk directly to you via you Street Talk section. Interesting articles also lead to “sharability”.

(3) Create ongoing dialogue

Being able to communicate with your readers is very important. Street Talk allows you to open up this dialogue. You can create open ended articles (that lead to people asking questions or giving opinions), which in turn will have people coming back to your articles to see what others are saying.

(4) Improving Your Articles

With collective and collaborative feedback, you can gauge what people enjoy reading, what people like and don’t like about your writing, and what generates the sort of feedback that you are looking for. From that information you can improve your writing style. Writing is always a learning process and the more you write and the more feedback you get, the better you will become.

(5) Attention

Like Twitter and Facebook, the more friends you have, the more power your writing will carry. The more you encourage feedback, the more people will be talking about your articles (and you), and the more overall attention you articles a get. Some authors at StreetArticles.com have people literally on “stand by” waiting for their next article to be released.

**As an Added Bonus: Lots of “Street Talk” feedback is good for the “writer’s ego”. It creates a strong sense of importance.

Why do I write?

I write for many reasons, but one thing that I really love is to get feedback. It helps me improve as a writer, it allows me to get a reaction of of people, and sometimes it allows me to see both sides of a more complex issue.

I take the good with the bad...all comments provide value in some way, except for spam talk or inappropriate talk which we don’t allow at Street Articles anyways.

Who can use Street Talk?

Anyone that is a member of Street Articles can use Street Talk. One thing we encourage is commenting on other people’s articles as well as your own. This creates a sense of community and there are many articles and topics in which you can chime in and offer your advice and opinion.

Many people also sign-up to Street Articles for the specific purpose of commenting. Not everyone is a writer, nor wants to write...but everybody has an opinion and everybody likes to communicate their thoughts.

How to get people “talking”....

It is quite simple, actually. Write timely, interesting, or opinionated content. The more powerful your content is and the more meaning it has, the more people will be talking.

What if someone “acts” out?

You can put any “talk” into moderation by clicking the Report button. Most people will not “act out,” as most people are good natured and simply want to create a discussion dialogue with the author. However, within your article when you are logged in you can Report any article that you deem to be inappropriate.

That’s all for now. I will be updating this article as Street Talk evolves and becomes an even powerful instrument to your writing success. If you have any questions or feedback, please leave it within the Street Talk below! :)

Quick question: Is there something wrong with the site? I have been trying to submit a short story that is over 1,000 words, and when I hit the Submit button, I get an error message that tells me to make sure that my article is at least 400 words long. I am eager to publish my story, so any help on this issue would be appreciated. Thanks! Have a great weekend. Sincerely, HollieETownsend

Who would like to escape the wheel of rebirth? Then you will need to study and implement the steps of walking the pathway of consciousness. This approach is one of building energy and moving into a more vibration-ally educated state. Insight Meditation is the only way to heal your whole being, which is a process that is defined as bringing down or invoking energy from your over soul into your being on the earth plane. This process will clear and sweep clean the uncleared personality. All serious esoteric students would be wise to study in detail "Immoral Action or Enlightenment", "Electrical Basis of Meditation" and "Meditation Secrets" articles, which when implemented will take you beyond the wheel of rebirth.
