Where to Find Freelance Writing Jobs

If you think about it, being a freelancer can be quite rewarding. You have no boss. You are in charge of your time. You are able to choose the jobs that you want to apply for and you can stay away from those that don’t appeal to you. You don’t have to be restricted by office rules and office hours either. These are a few of the reasons why people are attracted to freelancing. However, while it has its positive sides, it also has its negative sides. Freelancing can be difficult in the sense that if you don’t look for work, you are not getting any. It’s like a continuous job search especially at the beginning of your career. Luckily, we have the internet to make things a lot easier. While it doesn’t make client hunting entirely hassle free, it certainly does lend a hand. Here are a few sites you can check out when looking for freelance writing jobs.

The basics of Fiverr are very simple. Each person is allowed to post a service or task, also known as a “gig” that he or she can perform or carry out for $5 inclusive of the $1 Fiverr fee. They are also expected to give an estimated span of time that they can work on the gig. If a person buys a gig from you, you then communicate for details of the job. After you successfully deliver your work, you will be credited $4 after 48 hours and then you may withdraw it using your PayPal account.

This website is a growing site for clients and freelancers from around the world. Aside from the multitude of job posts that are available on the site, oDesk also offers a certain level of security for both the freelancer and the client. Its system helps the users judge the credibility of a client or a freelancer as well as providing a payment system for both parties.

Like oDesk, Guru also allows you to create profiles and apply for jobs. The job posts are also organized into categories to help you easily find the kind of job you are looking for. What makes Guru interesting is that it notifies you if anyone has posted a job that matches your profile. This saves you time and effort searching for job posts all over the internet. It also allows you to still be aware of great opportunities that you may have overlooked.
