How Yoga Can Control Stress? Interesting Facts About Human Body

Can yoga teachers training deal with stress? There are two functional parts of the brain to handle stress. These serve the emotion and cognitive functions. We can say emotional brain and logical brain. An emotional brain initiates the stress response where the logical brain always trying to "Turn-off" this stress response and restrain the emotional brain.

The strong logical brain can do better with stress response turn-off and emotional brain restrain. When "Turn-off" the stress response, "turn-on" our parasympathetic nervous system that relaxes the body. The relaxing signal and stress response travel in the body through a particular route. The route has the little "switches "to physically manipulate to turn the signals on or off. Neck is an example where the switches are located. Yoga training has a deep effect on the stress circuitry. In yoga we are holding a posture, trying to concentrate and balance. In bending forward and concentrating is triggering the both relaxation signal and logical brain.

The relaxation signal is turn on and logical brain is activated in forward bending through switches in the neck. Bending backward triggers both relaxation signal and logical brain through switches in the neck when we contract our muscles and concentrate or balance during a posture.
