Sri Sri Ravi Shankar a well known guru from India will be in Berlin this weekend for a Yoga festival which will be 48 hours of music,meditation and speeches to be held at the Olympic Stadium which is home to the Berlin football team and other sport venues including the World Cup final in 2006. The festival's theme "Celebrating Diversity and Enriching life" will bring 70,000 people from across the continent from different religions, traditions and backgrounds. They will all be together while Sri Sri will lead in a 25 minute mass mediation for world peace. As a spiritual teacher Sri Sri has rekindled the traditions of yoga and meditation.

Spiritual leaders and famous pesonalitites from around the globe will be attending to spread the message of peace and harmony along with music and Dance troops from around the globe. The festival will have shows featuring classical music from India and America, traditional flutes from Turkey, folk dances from Russia and Bulgaria and a variety of performances by German artists and much more. One of the highlights will be the"Grand Guitar Ensemble for Peace" which will include a symphony of 2,000 guitarists, 30 grand pianists and 3000 choir singers.

Yoga will be the main focus, although the event will celebrate the 30Th birthday of the Art of Living Foundation created by Ravi Shankar, India's best known spiritual leader,humanitarian,and ambassador of peace.His vision is for a violence free and a stress free world. the Art of Living a non profit educational and self development program offers powerful tools to eliminate stress and foster a sense of well being. These practices have been effective all over the world and at all levels of soceity. Ravi Shankar is one of India's most influential people who is also into Social Media. The Yoga festival is where visitors can experience yoga workshops from different countries and explore the effect of it on physical and mental health and inner peace. A unique Yoga Museum will illustrate the societal impact of Yoga in peace building and its application in humanitarian projects around the world.

I will not be there physically but I will be ther spiritually as I practice my yoga lean muscle. It has been proven that Yoga reduces stress thru postures, breathing .It is important to take time out for yourself not only for your health and well being but for your family and friends. So take time and stop and smell the roses.
